In the mid 1800's John Rich sold fabric, socks, coverlets, and yarn from the back of a mule cart throughout the logging camps in central Pennsylvania. Loggers’ wives then crafted garments from the fabric. Woolrich, as the company (and town in PA) is now known, has always been a sign of quality.
